BATSICCHA are currently undertaking two surveys:
1) The BATSICCHA Community Survey (for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 18years and over)
2) The BATSICCHA Cross-sector Housing Survey (for organisations / providers operating in the housing and wrap-around health and social services sectors)

Further Information
The Brisbane Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Housing Authority (BATSICCHA) (formerly trading as Black Community Housing Service Ltd. QLD) was first registered as a Public Company in 1974 under the Queensland Company’s Act 1961-1972.
BATSICCHA is a not-for-profit entity, established with the core objective of providing housing and homelessness related assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people residing in the Greater Brisbane Metropolitan Area. 

Vision

To address Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and economic disadvantage, by becoming a self-sufficient, respected leader in the provision of affordable housing and home programs and related services in a manner consistent with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander rights of self-determination and cultural respect.

Purpose


To empower and enrich our people by providing opportunities and programs that build their capacity and encourage home ownership and economic independence.


Aim

To relieve homelessness, poverty and disadvantage amongst the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population of the Greater Brisbane Area.
